Film Club of DEXYS
The Film Club of the Department of Public and Unified Digital Strategy (DEXYS), also informally known as cine.uth, is a dynamic student initiative that began about a year ago, in collaboration with the Karditsa Film Club. The club operates with the support of Ms. Sofia Tantou, who coordinates the screenings and communicates with embassies to secure film rights.
Purpose
The aim of the club is to offer students of the department – as well as the broader university community – the opportunity to watch quality films from various countries and cinematic movements, to explore other cultures, and to participate in cultural activities at no cost.
Activities
Screenings take place weekly in Amphitheater C of the DEXYS Department, organized into thematic units and tributes to national cinemas such as French, Italian, German, and Norwegian. There is also an intention to host discussions, workshops, and events with invited guests, although the implementation depends on volunteer availability.
Participation
Participation in the club is free and open to all. No registration is required, and any student can attend the screenings or contribute voluntarily to organization, promotion, and communications.

For updates and information, you can follow the club’s Instagram:

Additionally, a press release is published weekly in the local newspaper Neos Agon. Those interested in receiving direct updates can join the club’s Viber group.
Call for Volunteers
The continuation and growth of the Film Club depends on student participation. If you’re interested in contributing—whether by helping organize screenings or suggesting new activities—don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team. Together, we can shape a vibrant cultural space within the university.
