Student Counseling & Psychological Support Center of the University of Thessaly

K.E.SY.PSY.S. offers students of all Departments of the University of Thessaly the opportunity, if they wish, to receive psychological support and assistance for their personal difficulties and concerns. Additionally, they can receive training in acquiring skills for managing and solving problems they may be facing.

The Accessibility Center for Individuals with Disabilities at the University of Thessaly is the evolution of “PROSVASI – Accessibility Center for Students with Disabilities and/or Special Educational Needs,” which was established in 2012. Since 2024, it operates as an independent department, with the mission of supporting the full participation of individuals with disabilities and special educational needs in all educational, research, and administrative activities of the University. The Unit serves the 35 departments of the University across 5 cities, aiming to enhance accessibility and mobility within the university environment.

The city of Karditsa has two student restaurants for the students of the University of Thessaly, which operate daily and provide meals with flexible hours, covering the students’ dining needs with comfort and organization.

Students who have pre-declared electronically* (https://hris.uth.gr/feeding/student/) can be fed for the next week, the days and the menu preferred from the offered items.

tudents of the Department of TETD who wish to be accommodated at the Karditsa Student Residence can submit applications for accommodation at the Student Residence facilities, which consist of 2 separate buildings with 104 beds. Accommodation applications are submitted electronically through the University of Thessaly’s platform, and the selection is based on criteria such as financial and family status, as well as health reasons.

Students of the Department of TETD who are uninsured are entitled to full medical and hospital care through the National Health System (NHS), with coverage by the EOPYY. Additionally, for students traveling abroad for educational purposes, the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is provided, ensuring access to state healthcare in EU countries and other European countries.
