Important international distinction for the Department’s professors Dimitrios Makris and Ioannis Giavasis, who are among the 48 professors of the University of Thessaly who are on the list of the 2% of the most important and influential scientists worldwide, based on the analysis of international citations to their published work and their individual contribution, by category of scientific field for 2022 (John P.A. Ioannidis, Stanford University, USA, October 2023 data-update for “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”).

Participation of a faculty member of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition (Topic: Puff pastry production technology and applications in artisanal bakery and confectionery, Theofanis Georgopoulos) in the scientific conference organized by PETET (Panhellenic Association of Food Technologists), entitled “Technological approaches to artisanal bakery and confectionery” at the Artoza 2023 exhibition (METROPOLITAN Exhibition Center, El. Venizelos Airport) on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 11.00-15.00.

On Wednesday, 30/11/2022 at 9:00 a.m., a visit to the Department’s laboratories was held as part of the Skills Workshops on the topic of HEALTHY LIVING “I eat right – We grow up right” by the students of the 1st grade of the 2nd Primary School of Karditsa.
