“The scientific conference of the Department of Food Technology, Quality and Safety of Animal Origin entitled: “Food of Animal Origin – Developments, Challenges and Prospects” was held with great success on Saturday, March 30, 2024. We would like to thank our excellent speakers, our postgraduate students, and all those who attended and honored us. We look forward to the next one!”

In a climate of joy and emotion, the swearing-in ceremony of the 9 new graduates of the equivalency program of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition of the University of Thessaly took place today, Thursday.

The 9 graduates received their degrees in the presence of professors, relatives and friends, in a beautiful event that took place in the amphitheater of building A of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design.

At the swearing-in ceremony, greetings were delivered by Mr. P. Plageras, Dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences, and Mr. I. Giavasis, President of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition, congratulating the graduates.

A collaboration between the Karditsa Film Club and the DEXYS and TETD Departments of the University of Thessaly is about to begin and, in addition to the participation of students and staff of the Departments in future film screenings, a small group of volunteers will need to be established to organize these screenings (film selection, contacts with organizations that offer films, information activities for students and the general public of the city, preparation of a short prologue to a film, any technical assistance, etc.). Any students or staff members interested in participating in this group can come and be informed on Tuesday 2/4/2024 at 20.00 at the Amphitheater of Building C of the DEXYS Department, where future film screenings are planned to take place.
